Construction Minister and co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council

Nadhim Zahawi MP

Construction Minster Nadhim Zahawi MP has issued a call to arms to the Construction sector to lead the UKs recovery from COVID-19

In a speech at Construction Week 2020 the Minister said that:

“the industry had shown great resilience following COVID-19 and now had a huge opportunity to build a better industry for the future”

the Minister went onto say:

“that build, build, build – must be our mantra from now on. But with additions: build faster, build better, and build greener. We have ambitious plans to kick start our economy, and more work to do to meet our net zero commitments. And much of that will be done by you. We in Government will support you throughout this transformation. Together, we will build a better, greener, United Kingdom.”

In response to his speech at Construction Week, and as we now emerge from Lockdown 2.0 Ad Valorem publishes an OPEN LETTER to Nadhim Zahawi MP, with our own call to arms for Government to act in the interests of Sub Contractors throughout UK Construction – RETENTION REFORM.
